Donations: How you can help us
We hope that you will join us in our commitment to preserving Mountain Lake as a sanctuary for nature's splendor.
Mountain Lake is one of only two natural lakes remaining in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The 2,600 acres of forest that surround the lake are a unique ecosystem, unlike any other in the United States. Responsible stewardship of the land and the lake are more vital today than ever. We have enlisted scientists and student volunteers from area universities to help us preserve the very special and delicate environment and we need your help as well. Please consider donating to The Wilderness Conservancy's Forest Preservation fund to help us protect our forest, wildlife, and lake and to help us continue our study and protection of the Eastern Hemlock from the ravages of the Woolly Adelgid.
You may choose to mail your gift or you can drop it at The Wilderness Conservancy Visitor Center. All contributions are tax deductible and are gratefully appreciated.
